Q : What is the focus in a Shamanic Astrology Consultation?
A Shamanic Astrology session gives you insights, tools, and guidance to make conscious life decisions. These guide and empower you to make conscious life choices towards your life purpose and fullest potential (based on the universal principles of inner truth and love).
During our first session, we will explain your natal chart (aka your divine blueprint/script). You will get a deep sense of realisation, validation and even a liberation of your unique being. Major topics of current life purpose/trajectory, specific past skills and mastery in this lifetime, cautionary stuck areas along the path and supportive experience/structure to further growth and development will be deeply elaborated.
In our ongoing sessions, we also look at your current personal initiation cycles to help determine the specific intent and lessons of each unique experience, life phase and stage. I will also cover supportive activities and engagement strategies to take part and co-create with these initiation cycles towards greater empowerment and fulfilment of your intended being.
Ultimately, these sessions aim to assist individuals to know who they are, where they come from and where are they heading. Their place on the wheel of life, their life purpose themes and how best to fulfil their intended life purpose contribution towards all of humanity.
Q : Is Shamanic Astrology different from Sun Sign Astrology seen in the media?
Shamanic Astrology does NOT emphasize Sun signs which is but one of many factors within the natal chart. In our school, a person’s sun sign merely shows the original birth season and describes the type of fuel or energy supportive to accomplish their life purpose.
Sun Sign Astrology only grew in prominence in the last 150 years because of the general familiarity of the Sun's orbit making fairly predictably monthly 30 days shift into different astrological signs. Conversely, the Moon is changing signs every two and a half days and the Rising Sign or Ascendant changes signs approximately every two hours. Therefore, the common available Sun sign interpretation on the media is a limited indicator than say the Rising Sign determined a person's life purpose and direction.
Importantly, Shamanic Astrology recognizes the whole chart as equally valid and important, to extract and merely interpret any one element is inadequate to describe a person’s intent or their soul’s purpose. One component, principle or one planet cannot operate healthily without reference to the whole entirety. Thus, any astrological consultation must look at the entire horoscope in a holistic full-spectrum approach across all archetypes and planets (The Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, and all others) to represent the diversity and complexity of the entire being. This is even more crucial during the current Turning of the Ages, to know and validate the full human being, sign archetypes, all their distinct opportunities and possibilities available.
